The main prize of the 3rd BuSho festival is won by the film entitled Offside ( Erez Tadmor, Guy Nattiv, Israel). The Silver Busho went to two Hungarian creators: Simonyi Balázs and Tóth Barnabás for the film „One vote” („Egy szavazat”), while the third step of imaginary stand could have been taken by Felix Stienz (Germany) for the film „Ladenhüter”. We fondly invite everyone at 18.30 on 3rd August, at the Cultural Centre of Almássy Square to the official opening of the 3rd BuSho Film Festival. The festival is going to be opened by Groó Diana, film director. Dr. Schneider Márta, cultural under-secretary has accepted the title 'major patron' of the festival, the moderator is going to be Galamb. June 2007 GIZMOSHO ANIMATION WORKSHOP
An animation workshop organized by UPC operating the site VideoGizmo, Busho Festival and Hipokaloric Group will be held at the Cultural Centre of Almássy Square during the week prior to BuSho Festival. The 15 filmmakers chosen by the pre-jury will have the possibility to attend the 8-day workshop for free. Entries are expected until 20th July. The number of shorts entered to the festival has been doubled again this year -just as in 2006, so we have 360 films- a number not negligible even at an international rate. These 70 hours of motion picture caused some difficulties to the pre-jury, but they heightened the nivo of the festival at the same time. The 116 films of the competition program have been put into 22 blocks which cover all 4 days of the festival - setting a hard task to the international jury. The schedule of the concert series IVF Folk & Roll is complete! The program includes concerts of the leading folk-rock bands of the region. The gigs in cronological order are: the Slovak Druzina, the Hungarian Rackajam, the Polish Chudoba, and finally the Czech Gothart. June 2007 AFTER "GET UP, LACI" LET’S SAY "TALLY-HO, GABI!"
After last year’s aid concert, we would like to continue the series, and give a helping hand to our excellent friend, Papp Gábor, who helped us: composed, and played music to our films. But then he didn’t even know about a disease called Multiple Sclerosis... May 2007 THE PROGRAM HAS BEEN FLARED
The final competition program of the 3. BuSho festival is finally born! The pre-jury (Mag-Rimóczi-Ganczer) worked hardly for more than a week, watched 350 films (60 hours) and made its all-time hardest final decision. The number of the entered films has been the double of those of 2006. Unfortunately the competition program has scarce time, so we created a new category: outlined information blocks in honour of the many excellent films. The 3rd BuSho International Short Film Festival excepts the entries in the usual categories: short fiction, animated and experimental. Most important change is that the deadline for entries has been brought forward to: February 2007 Parade awards related to BUSHO:
- The prize of the best director at the 38. Hungarian Film Parade was given to Szász János for Opium- diary of an insane woman. We assume that the idea of the film was busted from the brain of the director when he wakened from his extasy after the viewing of Ballads of Szexard... January 2007 "Master" riddle: what's that?
It was present at various festivals 83 times, got 40 prizes and now it has an Oscar nomination. The solution is: MAESTRO. December 2006 HNY

Very good news: Rimóczi László (Lezmuvek-Decadent Freehand www.lezmuvek.hu - entrant for the 1. BuSho) won Nisimasa international screenplay-writers’ competition (nisimasa.imingo.net) together with Csukor Sonja! Nighttime Visitors won from 400 screenplay-plans. In addition to the subsidy put at Laci’s disposal for the shooting of Nighttime Visitors they can take part of a screenplay-writer workshop at Moulin d’Andé at the end of January and of the following deservedly famous Short Film Festival of Clermont-Ferrand. The Society of BuSho Moving Birds decided to leave Kinizsi. As we had 5-6 offers of possible scenes, we took our satchels and took a look at them! I intentionally do not specify these possibilities: I do not want our public to brood about the chances. After a long consideration, analysis of pros and contras we decided that the new scene is the Cultural Centre of Almássy Square. (1077. Bp. Almássy Squre 6.) November 2006 ATTENTION! During the ending congress in September we decided to bring forward the entry deadline. We hope that this way we can avoid the mistakes caused by the hurry, for example we are going to have more time to correct the catalogue. In 2007 the deadline is going to be 3rd May. The competitors are expected to treat the above topic in the form of a short feature film, experimental film, or documentary. Brno after the BuSho September 2006 Krsko contact making seminar
The first trip of Busho to abroad was to the Slovenian Krsko (we were invited by the last year’s BuSho partecipant Petra Jagric) where we could be part of an international film camp and a contact making seminar! Our presentation contained exclusively Hungarian pieces and it was a great success. We gained many new contacts and relationships, and we ascertained: the Slovenians truly outrivaled us by light-years... 9 Aug 2006 BuSho 2006 - FIRST PRIZE WON BY SUPERWASH !
There were many awards at the end of the 2nd International Short Film Festival at Kultiplex: the international jury gave the golden prize to Superwash (by Zoltán Gergely), while the student jury choose Bass in Contra of Alex Schmidt. 3 Aug 2006 It's time to BuSho again!
On friday, at 18:30 after the official opening cerenomy the Second BuSho International Shortfilm Festival will start! 15 hours of competition films, 11 hours informational screenings, more than 7 hours of "best of" selections from the world's Shortfilm Festivals. Every night a movie and a concert. Come, and watch films until your eyes begin to shed tears!

4 Jun 2006 The final schedule of the competition is ready!The deadline for entries was June 4th 2006.The number of the entries arrived to the second Busho Short Film Festival was almost twice as much than last year. This caused some difficulties to the pre-jury... The 100 films which in fine got the possibility to be presented at the Festival last cca. 15 hours and they surely will cause serious headache to the international jury, because they are so excellent that it won’t be easy to choose the films that will get the awards of the international parade at the end.
